Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Willamette Elegance' is commonly referred to as Willamette Elegance Hinoki Cypress. This beautiful cypress is an upright, broadly pyramidal tree form of the Hinoki cypress with horizontal branching that holds rich green, fan-shaped foliage. Foliage turns a reddish-purple in winter. It grows very slowly and stays small. After 10 years of growth, it may get to 10 feet tall with a spread of 6 feet.
The Willamette Elegance enjoys full to part sun in rich, moist, well-draining soils.
